Missionary Message

#hello! Tis my people!

So this last week has been a blast!  We have had a lot of fun times\gangsta/good!
This one lady, her name is Linda, she is a member of the church, but won't go back so we're just here to serve her.👍On Wednesday, we went over to her house and did some fun things and I got to cut some bushes with a big electric cutting thing🔪 It was a blast!

Then we put our norm cloths on and went out with brother Allen! We went knocking a little but he told us of some great tips on how to help people feel comfortable, like my favorite one was "you knock on a door and step back behind a crack or off the porch and then when they answer we ask them if we can cross the line or if we can come up on the porch?"  It's so ridiculous it's hilarious!!  They totally fall for it and feel right at home!  We have done it a couple times and now I'm trying to perfect it!  FYI this method is
called "disarming"... so amazing!

There's this lady in our ward she is 94 years of age and is so nice!  She fell and got pretty banged up so we got to visit and I'm so grateful for old people they have so much love for the world!!  It's unbelievable!

We have an investigator named Charleen.  She's great!  She really loved the Plan of Salvation and how the Church is.  She said she believes the Book of Mormon is true and it's really exciting!  We are looking forward
to see her again!

The Reid's are great!  She just got called to be the mission meal lady and is so great at it!!  We got to go eat at her house and had a ton of ribs! Yummmm!

Well, my conversion is going great!!! Jesus loves us! I know it!

Here's my testimony... God lives! The Atonement is the healing power that can fix all things! God will lead us to what we need to do when we are obedient to the laws and ordinances!

I love my family and know it's eternal! In the name of Jesus Christ amen!

Thanks again for writing me! I'm so grateful for the packages and letters!  Please continue to write me and send me packages!
I love you all!!!

Missionary

This week has been fantastic!

I'm so grateful for the letters and all the packages!  Don't hesitate to send me CDs with music... something must of happened when I asked y'all on the Christmas call cause I haven't gotten any.  It's probably the mail service! ;)

I got to go on exchanges with Elda Knibb.  He's from Washington and he converted only a couple years ago.  Both of his parents are not members.  He's a great guy! He is going home in a couple months which is pretty sad, but it's all good!

We had interviews with the President.  This was the last one so its pretty sad.  He's gonna be gone in no time! He's been great and I know he is a great servant of God!

We have little miracles each day, but it's hard to write them so I'm just gonna tell a couple of funny stories.  So we were teaching this girl and at the end of the lesson we asked if she would pray and she said "yes, I would love to start us off" and then who ever wants to can finish us?? So I kinda laughed and said I'll just pray! Not sure what kind of prayer it would have been but kind of wishing I didn't say it now!

We were trying to find a less active and we walked up and he had his headphones on and was looking the other way so we kinda waited until he turned around.  It was 5 minutes almost and I yelled a couple times saying hello Brother Brown!!? And after a few I was busting up cause it was just so funny!

So, I'm working on cutting out words that are yucky... here are some "crap," "nuts," "dude," "like."  It's really hard to do so its gonna take the rest of my life!

Well, we are trying to work through members right now and it's really hard, but we will endure! Here's a photo that made me think of home.  I love you all so much thanks for all you do!  I love you again! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Elder Nelson

This week has been really fun! It was bike week! #notmyfavweek

This week I have been reading over a lot of the conference talks and am loving them all!  Man do I love President Monson!

We got to work at the store house.  That was a blast!  These are some great people there!

In my area right now we have a lot of finding to do and so were on our toes looking hard.  I have been studying in Mosiah! I love that book.  There are so many great story's and I'm about to read over Abinadi and his death but he's my favorite because he doesn't care what others think... only what God thinks!

There was a lovely lady we met.  Her name was Kiri and she has about 10 cats, 4 dogs and lives in a beautiful home.  We started to talk with her and she was telling us about how God is all of us and that we're all Jesus and we wanted to understand where she was coming from but we just couldn't.  Especially due to the fact that she has had several near death experiences... she made sure that we knew that multiple times.  In the end we were able to teach about the Plan of Salvation and testify of Jesus Christ, our Savior!! #goodtimes

There's a member that lives in our apartment complex and he's been great lately!  He's a PI for (those who don't know what that means it's private investigator) so it's always hilarious talking with him and sometimes when we're leaving the apartment, if we see him, we will text him and say "we got a Visual."  If we see him, it's the best! He's the best!

We had zone meeting on Friday and it was a blast!  After, we had one of the Assistant's come to our area and that was so nerve wrecking, but he gave us a good report and he went his merry way.  His name is Elder Butler from Missoula, Montana. I tried so hard to find a relationship, but got no where.  I'll continue to work hard!

We got to help Sister Martin with some gardening that was fun!

Elder Blackett and I are doing our best!

I am so grateful for all the letters and packages... I love candy! Thanks for that!  I also love many other things like letters with pictures of my family/friends/Obama!!

Thanks again!  I love you all!😘

It's The Other Missionary

Well I've been transferred to good ole Colfax!  New address is on the side bar.

Please send as many letters and packages as possible to feel welcomed here!

This week has been crazy! I got transferred to an area that was my area like 2 months ago... Summer Field.  It's pretty cute down.  Here it's only us Elders in the ward!  I'm with elder Blackett.  He just got done training so he's way excited to get to work and I'm stocked too!!  This place is gonna boom! He's from Mapleten, Utah and mostly reads books so we don't have much in common, but I know I'm gonna learn a lot from this guy!

I have little to talk about... it's been pretty much finding most of the week.  This area is very dry and the pool is slowly filling with new peeps!

Something I learned from General Conference is how we need to learn how to start dancing more often? #jk
I feel like I always knew the dance moves but never heard the music so I'm hearing the music now it's amazing #churchisgood.

Fun things about it this area:
We drive a Ford Fusion #newestone
We live in a brand new apartment so it's pretty nice!
There's a graveyard in the back of the church and there's only 6 LDS churches that have those! #win

That's pretty much it! I love my mission! I'll try to send some pictures of what's going on! See what happens is I can't take pictures on my iPad and so I take them with my camera #thankssistermiguel and then I
forget to bring my cord to take them off my camera to put them on the computer and send them to you all #repentanceisreal.

Well, that's all for now.  Sorry about the spelling on last week. I've been getting some pretty harsh letters about that!

I love you all so much and am grateful for all you do! Love Elder Nelson
