Missionary Work 101

Hello family! I love you all so much!  I'm so grateful for all the letters and packages they are so funny and sweet! Thanks so much!

Next week we will have pday on Tuesday!

Here's my week:

We had a lot of success!

We found this lady named Theodora aka Princess.  She loved taking to us!  She had talked to missionaries before and had referred us to a friend of her's named Kathy.  She lives up the street and after talking with Theodora, we went out to Cathy's house, knocked on the door and told her about how Theodora had referred her. She assured us that she had no idea who Theodora was, but she did, however, know a lady that was completely crazy down the street that fit all the descriptions of Theodora.  Elder Blanket and I laughed inside of our minds and enjoyed the moment and continued to teach!!

I love the gospel!

So, this Sunday we were able to get Theodora to come to church.  She let us know to pick her up around 12:15pm.  We showed up at her house at that time and she was not ready at all.  She told us that you take 20 to 30 minutes to get ready. I firmly stood my ground when I told her that 20 minutes would be perfectly fine.  We waited outside until about 12:35 and she showed up. We went to church she loved it!  She was making sure everybody knew her name is Princess which was hilarious!  In Gospel Principles, Lisa, another investigator that we had at church had asked for a water bottle.  While sitting in class, some lady came in the back door and had a water bottle ready to give to Lisa, but Princess thought it was hers and took it.  We had a laugh and we left and went and got my water bottle.  Sacrament was amazing! Church was good and the spirit was there!  Hopefully they'll continue to progress #Weaboutit

I love the gospel! I love the people! I love the world! I love Jesus! I love God! I love my parents! I love my friends! I love my family!

Thanks for all you do!!!

Missionary Message from #Elda

Omg I love writing these letters each week!!

So, I am grateful for all the love I feel from each and every one of you.  Thanks so much!!  It helps me.

Thanks for those who sent me packages and letters this week especially CDs.

This week was different! We had some good lessons and also some that don't exist.......

Here's some story's that are not spiritual:

We had an appointment with this lady... let's call her victim A.  She said to come back at 7pm the next day.  We got a member and showed up at her house she was not there so we talked to her "boyfriend" and he said she was gone for a little and told us she would give us a call.   We then walked away and got into the car and when we were driving off she pulled in right behind us.  We got pumped again, turned around and got back out of the car. We started to walk up to her car, but she got back into her car and took off like she had to get somewhere so we decided we would stop by a man's house that we had met a little while back.  We talked for a little bit and returned back to Victim A's house.  Her car was there so we got pumped again... ready to do the Lords work! We knocked and "boyfriend" answers and says a bunch of stuff that neither myself or my companion could understand.  All we knew was that she had shut us down one more time (the third time) that day and really took it out of my gig for this week!

Spiritual:
We met this lady, Lisa.  She is super nice and has been homeless for a little bit, but she just moved into her son's home.  We saw her taking out her trash and we walked over and got talking with her.  She started to cry and we got a return appointment! We showed up to her house and got talking.  She said, "tell me one reason why I should read the Book Of Mormon?" and as you can imagine we thought we would be all over it, but it took a second to
figure out what answer the Lord wanted us to convey to her.  I honestly don't feel like we answered what He, the Lord wanted us to.  Here's my point - sometimes I believe my knowledge is not sufficient for some that
I teach, but I know that I don't have to answer all the questions as long as she will pray and receive the answer from God!

I am so grateful for all those who are mothers and the examples they are! One of the greatest ones is my mother! I can't wait for the day we can watch Perry Mason at home with my head laying on her shoulder (#fav)!
I am also so grateful for those of you who are mother fugues in my life thanks so much!

My thoughts and prays go out to Hulk and the Avengers!

Well, thanks for writing me!  I appreciate it so much! I love you all and am eternally grateful for family's and the purpose for them!

Love elder Nelson #dan

Missionary Message

This week has been norm but here's the sitch!  I'm grateful for all the letters and packages...keep 'um coming👍!

So we got to have a lot of fun! I got to go on an exchange with Elder Hettinger.  He's from Chicago and is the best!  He was a Spanish elder but got cut from the team and is trying his hand in the English world.  He's not doing to bad!!!

After that exchange, I went immediately over to the zone leaders and exchanged with them I got to exchange with Elder Zambarno.  He's nice and is from Cali.  We had a lot of fun, but their area is straight ghetto... I mean, I met a guy named Mr Cowboy!

We also had Stake Conference and it was a blast!  This lady came with us. Her name is Charleen.  She liked it, but it was long to sit in the same meeting!!!!

Sorry this letter is short! I love you all and am grateful for you all!

I know that the lord works through Obedient servants and as I become more worthy, He will lead me to those elect!!!!
