Legendary Weeks!

This week has been pretty sweet!  The week started off very slow with a lot of cold weather.  On Wednesday, we received a referral and his name was Tim.  We showed up at his house and no one was there so we started to drive away.  Then he drove past us and waved so we turned around and started to talk with him. He asked us if we could meet at the church so we went to the church and he was pumped!  He told us how his mother's family was a part of the church but he didn't know much at the end of the first lesson.  He beat us to punch and asked us when he can get baptized! We're so excited!  My face went pink and I started to feel the sweat drop down my lower back!! Kidding! But it was great!!  He is on date for the 7th of next month! #prayfortim

Next, we have been teaching a kid named Christian.  He is a former investigator and we had a great lesson with the Reidheads and him! He has told us before how he knows that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God so we asked him what would be most pleasing to God with that knowledge? He said getting baptized and joining the church. We then Invited him to get baptized next month on the 14th and he said okay and he's going to work for it! Exciting week!!  Then, he went to church the next day with the singles ward and there are a lot more African Americans in that ward so he felt a lot more welcomed.  He told us after he had never learned more in a church then in those 3 hours! (Fyi his dad is a preacher). Anyways, super exciting! Had a fun week knocking around met some really nice people!

I'm doing good and having fun!  My ankle is stronger then ever with the wonderful power of the priesthood!
We also had zone meeting this week and it went great. Love elder Nelson! Also always remember God!!!

Good weeks!

Hello everyone!  It's so great to be able to share my week with you all!! So last MondayI hurt my ankle playing soccer (fyi almost won #chairsoccer).  Anyways, this week has been slow but nevertheless, we were able to see some old investigators in the area and were able to put their street name into our iPads and come up with everyone that the missionary's have talked with on that street which is sweet!  We were able to find out that one of them has a huge testimony of Joseph smith and knows he is a Prophet of God so we're excited!

We have been showing all the members the Mormon Message New Years - Look Not Behind Thee video and been having them set up goals for this year and it's been great! Also we push for them to invite friends! So
hopefully we will see more missionary work in this area!

We found out that our new mission president and his wife will be coming out in July! So excited!!  Their last name is Alexander and they're from Alpine, Utah! Super excited for them!

Since I have been resting this week, I have blasted through the Book of Mormon and am now in Ether 10!  So exciting!! I love the Book of Mormon and am more excited for people to hear about it!!  Also, I would suggest everyone to pray for the missionary's in Paris...they need your love! Thanks!!

So after hurting my ankle I thought "what is the best way to help my self get healthy again?" I thought of a cane and so I went to the thrift store and got one! Now, after I got one I thought "if my ankle might heal I would never be able to use that cane again" so I decided to use my mind in a way that it hasn't been used in a while! I thought "if I make it into a selfie-stick like my other pole I could keep it forever and use it for a cane/selfie stick for all eternity!"  Now I would like to share with you how that looks! (So excited)!!!

Well, I'm grateful for all the letters and love I receive from you all and encouragement!!  Love you all! Let me know if there is anything I can do!

Happy New Year's!!! #theyearoffun

What a great week on New Year's Eve!  We had a lot of success and found some fun people!

A member called us to help him move into his house so we went and helped him.  Then he said "y'all have a dinner?"  and we didn't.  We were thinking we would probably just go somewhere to eat.  He then took us to Red Robin and and we stayed for like 2 hours cause they didn't want us to go outside because everyone was drunk. So we chatted and then we left and while we were walking out I looked at the TV and saw Happy New Year's and it was the best!!! I cried!

Now the year is 2015 and we woke up and nothing happened.  Nothing had changed only the date so we freaked out! We have a lot of dinners this week so I would like to thank everyone at home for feeding the missionary's cause then I receive dinners!  Elder Smith and I have set a lot of goals and are jacked up to complete those goals!

This week I have been more focused then ever because the last couple weeks have been really bad.  For instance, Christmas week we only had 5 lessons which is awful but we all know it's not about the numbers but sometimes you still want to be busy.  Anyways, so this week we have pushed really hard and we tried to teach at doors and we were able to teach 14 lessons and hoping for more this next week!

Sorry for the short message but not to many crazy things.  We have  been searching out all the sisters records because it's only us here in the Summer Field Ward.

Thanks for all the prays!  I love you all and wish you a Happy Hew Year!! I'll try to write more next week!

Hello my family!

This week has been a lot of fun! So Monday we had a blast at the church! One of the elders has this game called spike ball and we played it a bunch!

Wednesday was a blast too!  We went over to the Doyal and had dinner with
them.  Sister Doyal made us scarves!!  They are the best!

Thursday was the best! We had lunch at the bellows and after we ate we called home and that was a blast of course! I love my family and hope they are still thinking about all the things I said even the stuff
about music and sending it to me! Thanks again! Can't wait!! :)

Then after we called we had some pie with the Bellows and my stomach was hurting.  We went home about 4pm and dinner was in 30 so I took a nap and tried to calm my stomach down.  Nothing was working it was just sitting in my stomach and getting biggie.  We went to the Lindsay's and they had cafe rio salads and it was "the best" and I put down as much as I could but I then realized that I wasn't feeling good and that I
might throw up so I sat back in my seat and didn't say a word.  We went home and tried to work that food out!

Friday we were walking down the road and some old guy that the elders were teaching a long time ago said "hey elders" and he wanted to learn more! We're excited!

Transfers came and we heard nothing and then the sisters called us on Sunday and said they are being taken out of the area and it was pretty sad... no more sisters in this area.  So we are gonna get the people they
are teaching and were freaking pumped! We went over today and picked up all their food so we got like so much food!!  Also, we are changing districts and I'm jacked out of my mind for that because we have more peeps in our area and then he sadly said "no more Spanish elders" :(😭 My Spanish is gonna be not so bueno now!

Also, we get the car 2 weeks then we have to bike for a week... I'm excited!

Anyway I love you all and hope you can enjoy these photos of me opening some presents!
