Happy holidays! From your boy🕴#EldaNeLs (Nov. 30, 2015)

I'm so grateful for each one of you and the letters you sent me throughout this week!  They have uplifted me and inspired me to change my life and to become more Christlike #change!!!!

So many things! First, I got to learn how to deep fry a turkey this last week and so I'm pumped to give that a shot when I get home.  I'm gonna do great I already know it! #bewareofprideboy

And then we went to Patriarch Larson's house and had lunch on Thanksgiving!  I was so stuffed it was unreal! So then we went home and had to get some planning and study's in so we pretty much sat on the couch until dinner and we ate at the Esklsons! They feed us like so much so I got sick and asked to lay on the couch pretty much the whole dinner it was sad ! But now I feel better!

We had this wonderful baptism for some people in the ward next to us!  Here's a pick of the one I got to interview!

We also had a lot of fun going bowling this last week and there's 6 people in our district and so we played against each other and we bet that who ever loses has to sing in the next district meeting.  It was a blast!  Of course our team won so I got to relax!!

During this week I have thought about what I'm grateful for and one member told me not to forget to be grateful for our spiritual body and for the chance we had to come here! And it kind of blows my mind of how ungrateful I am! But I am grateful for family!

There was a story shared about going on a trip to Lake Powell and they said okay you have all the money in the world! So we decided we would fly air force one of course and what not! And then to get the nicest toys and all the joys of the lake and then they put a twist would you go by yourself? And I thought it might be fun! But then I tried to think of any memories I had of just myself and there wasn't a whole lot of great ones! Then I thought of family and friends and the great and Truly amazing times I had with them and I realized this is how life after this life will be if I don't make sure I have done all the things necessary for my friends and family to be with me forever!! I love each one of you!!

I'm thankful for YOU!! (Nov. 23, 2015)

This week was garbage.... Just kidding it was amazing!

This week we had a bummer day so we decided to go see our friend James (he is a less active member).  He believes in some neat things!  For example, there are 54 Alien races that we know of.  We have had contact
with 15 of them and the world has alliances with 7 of them and 3 or 4 live among us. So as we talk with him we mostly dig into this stuff and get all the information we can to lighten our day to continue to work hard! Also, he gives us Pepsi.😜

We were able to meet so many people that are ready to receive the gospel.  For example, we met this man named Dorian.  He loved the message of the Restoration and wanted peace and comfort in his life, but we
haven't been able to meet with him in a few weeks due to IDK, here's the best part - we called him and were talking with him and he wanted to meet with us pretty bad so you know what we did?  We set a baptismal date over the phone and he is so excited!! We love baptism!!🙏

We also met this kid named Wesley and he explained that he has had a tough past. Four exorcisms, sold his soul to you know who for money and a rap career.  Anyways, he has come a long ways but he found Christ! And now he's changing his life.  We got talking with him and he wanted us to help his wife see the bright side so he let us in his home and we taught them about the love and peace will come as they accept Christ into their lives!!!
They loved it and both want to be baptized on 12/26!!

We had a zone conference about the sacrament and one thing I would like to share is something that was shared. In the bible, when Jesus is suffering for all of ours sins, he comes back to his apostles and noticed them sleeping and said you couldn't even wait one hour. And they compared that to us when we choose different things over coming to church and partaking of the Sacrament what really is more important??? I know the true power of sacrament and forgiveness! I love it!!!

After zone conference we went to a big gym, like summit Athletic club, and got to feed close to 700 people both homeless and just someone looking for a good bite to eat!! It was great to get into that spirit of Thanksgiving!!!

My First Prayer

What a powerful week!

So I'm gonna start with my favorite this week! We had the primary program this week.  Heart touching.  While listening to these kids sing the songs I thought of the videos the church put out about the 12 step program.  There was a lady that got into some bad addictions and got put in jail.  While she was in there she felt awful, she didn't think she deserved any love from God.  She said "the first prayer I uttered was a primary song."  I thought of
how much these songs will help each one of these kids through out their life.  I know when I feel tempted I reach into the child of me and sing a primary song and it helps each time!

I got to go on a exchange with Elder Ellis #zoneleader....... But he was great and we had some great jokes!  I was telling him about how I thought for the next zone meeting we should have each member of the zone be assigned to a person or object In the nativity and then to wear it and at the end of zone meeting we could take a photo.  He
replied "who's gonna be Jesus?" I said we don't have nine months.......Hahah hopefully all of you will reach into the funny side and think this is funny cause we probably laughed for 4 minutes!

So some of you hopefully remember my last companion Elder Hatch? So he is still getting me with jokes since he left.  My back has been killing me like really. I wake up in the morning and almost don't get out of bed at 630!. Awhile back I put 2 mattresses on my sleeping area so I thought that had to be it so I started to remove one and his huge bottle of water comes flying out???? And it was right under my back??  That guy got me good! I'll get him back..

We got to go on teams with the patriarch here and I'll tell you what that man is so guided by the Spirit it was unreal! He actually just got back form his second mission in South Dakota serving the Indians there..

Thanks for all the love you send my way! I feel truly  precious to each one of you! Especially to my parents cause I'm their favorite child 😉your secret is safe with me!
