Holy moly.com up in here!
This week has been so unreal it's gonna blow some minds!!!
First off, I'm gonna start with a experience we had with some kids about my age! So we're looking for a less active member and we showed up to their house and they had moved out but this really nice lady had moved in! So we started a good convo and she goes to a great church up the way so she didn't seem to promising. She pretty much was alright with her church! But while we were talking with her some guy upstairs kept coming out of his house and yelling at us saying things like "you believe leave it at dat" and "yo mama got a religion don't try that
$&&@" so we kinda shared what we could with her and then we were kinda ready to leave the area, but I was hoping we could have some one on one with this guy so I acted like I was on the phone for a few minutes and
he came back out! So we got talking and we asked him what he believes he said "I started my own religion and it's all about you you don't need God all you need is you" we wanted to dig deep! So we started asking questions while yelling back and forth! Then next thing you know his neighbors jumps out for some action! So we're smashing these guys with some great comments and we both know it probably wasn't the best but we were having some fun! So by the end of it we all came to the understanding that there was a God and that he created all this,
after that all them mostly left but the first guy and we asked him if he was willing to act on this faith that he has and he was so ready so we gave him some stuff and set a return appointment! 😏
We had a great lesson with this family on the blessings that have come into our lives as we have changed and become closer to God! As I pondered what everyone was saying I thought of my journal and how important that is for recording these experiences that we are having! I thought of the times I have looked through it in tough days and realized the happy times and how I was living! I just know we're gonna have hard times where we want to give up where we may want to sin a little but in those times we can look back and see how much happiness the gospel brings into our lives!!!
We called this less active and were asking him if we could visit. He said not right now cause they found a dead body in the neighborhood!!!! Are you kidding me! He was laughing and saying my neighbors lost their minds when they found out about that! This guy is the best!
Also in gospel principles this Sunday, one of the sister missionary's investigators had some purple hair things and the teacher was talking about how we can stay modest and one thing she brings up is that her daughter would dye her hair blue and pink and what not and then she said I'm so glad my daughter grow out of that!! Hahaha this poor
investigator was laughing and probably feeling awful!! Hahah gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again for all you do for me I feel the love and prayers!!!!
Love you all so much!!
May god bless you!!

It's a shame that we live in a world where people think parents love their children more then God does.
I'm grateful for this chance to write to you all as a whole and to share my thoughts about what's going on in the work.
I'm grateful for the love and kindness that I feel from each one of you all.
This week has been different. I have had a sore throat most of it and I'm about over it. But this new training thing is hard! It's so stressful that I haven't gotten a cold sore my whole mission till this last week😒 I know awkward who wants to talk to a guy with a big ole thing on his lip. Gross😭 but on the reals it's crazy! I feel like I'm raising a child and anything I do might make him a bad missionary so it's hard to think about that.
Nothing to crazy happened this week. We met a lot of new people like always it's just hard to find those who want to progress lately!!
This week we had a funny thing happen where Elder Huff wasn't looking and I hit him with my bike and he fell off and ended up on my back tire with the wheel grinding into his side! Hahaha super funny! He's alright so no worry's!
During fast and testimony meeting this man shared about how he was talking with his neighbor and his neighbor asked him don't you Mormons believe in becoming god and he was kinda surprised by this question so
he waited for the right way to answer. He then asked him if he has kids and he said yes and he said do you want your kids to have everything you have plus some and he said yes and he said well why would you think Our Heavenly Father would want the same for you then what you want for your kids?. He then said its a shame we live in a world where parents think they love their children more then Heavenly Father loves us.
This week we got to help tile a mans floor in the ward who is a recent convert. His name is Chris he and his wife joined not to long ago. They have 5 kids and they are only about 40 or so and she just passed away and it's been pretty sad but he's holding it together pretty well.
I know service is a way to feel true Christ like love! I love these people I love the gospel!!!
I love you all and am grateful for all you do for me love Dan.
I'm grateful for the love and kindness that I feel from each one of you all.

Love is the strongest motivation to act!
Hello everyone! So excited to write to you this week.! This week has been very fun, interesting and super stressful and exciting!
So last week I got Elder Huff from Cottonwood Heights Utah! He is great and has such a strong testimony of the Gospel and has a lot of knowledge of it!
We're working with this part member family where the father got baptized a few months ago and his wife hasn't had time really to meet with us! But this week were able to meet with both of them and had a very spiritual lesson with that she seems promising to be able to want to enter into the waters of baptism! We're so excited!!
We had Stake Conference this week and we had Elder Anderson come to re-organize the Stake presidency. He was the one that spoke in General Conference about the music of the Gospel. He shared with us about love is very powerful to think about the influence of the love in my life. I'm pretty sure the only reason why I was able to get out here was because of the love that my family showed me the true Christ like love! And I'm super grateful for it! Talk about the story of two men that broke horses... one of them would ride it around and roughhouse it. He'd pull super hard back on the rains and really treated it not well and he kicked it and forced it to do things! The other one would whisper in the horses ear, brush it down and give it some loving and then just really let it ride itself. The one that had a less forceful way had more of a loving way was able to break more horses. I felt like this is the way that we all need to help people grow is by showing love. It is the greatest way to teach people! In D&c 121: 41 No power or influence can or ought to be maintained by virtue of the priesthood, only by persuasion, by long-suffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned;..."
We talked about persuasion and what it means and he presented in a way that was so loving he said I like to think of persuasion as "sharing information"
I love this gospel.
"people don't care how much we know until they know how much we care"
I love you all so much! I truly do love you!
Please let me know what I can do to help. Elder Nelson!

Happy Thanksgiving!! Carving pumpkins with my district!
Every mistake is a chance to grow!
Thanks again for all you do for me! So excited to write you this week.
I'm grateful for all the love letters and kind words that everyone has said to me!
This week is been very interesting!
Wow on exchange with Elder Skinner! We were biking down the street and some lady waved us down! Do you want to talk to us and we talked about how we can have hope in life because she's going through a hard time!
We able to meet with her in the next couple days at the church with a member and had a wonderful lesson! What a miracle!
We also met this man named David. He was outside spraying down his flowers as me and elder Hatch walked by. We were a little bit scared of what he was going to do to us! He just look like a scary man but when we got talking to him he was very soft-hearted and he saw something with in us that made him want to look into the church.
One of the general authorities came to our mission! He is our area 70 Elder Kopsicka? Not sure if I spelled that right! Anyways, we had a very spiritual lesson. He basically went off of the Spirit and taught us whatever he felt was needed! He talked of the full heart and how we need to have full hearts to talk to people and not be shy!
I found out that I will be training this upcoming transfer and Elder Hatch is leaving. Very sad but exciting to be able to train! Hopefully I will be able to help this kid learn a little bit of how to teach how to preach the gospel.
We found this cheetah statue in the backyard and we decide to bring it in and we play fun games with it. We always hide it in the places where our companions don't know and then he pops up that scares us! We have
now converted him to be the new signing object so when we leave this area we will sign it and it will be here for decades and be legendary!!!
I love my mission! I speak from deep in my stomach. I love you all so much and I'm grateful for their Christlike love each one of you has shown to me. Move forward continue to progress in God's gospel. Continue to look for ways to improve your abilities to share the gospel!
I know that God loves!!!
Thanks again love you all so much!!!!

Never say never
Hello all loved ones back home. I sure do love you all. I miss you like crazy.
We had a very interesting week. Last Monday we are able to go to the motor speedway in Charlotte. We were able to go around the track in a tour bus... it was a blast. I have many pictures I will send.
I learned a lot of true doctrine about the track and we met some really fun people there! Also, we had the district there and some others. For the most part I have come to know that NASCAR is still crazy.
I went on an exchange with an Elder. His name is Cal Christiansen he is from Altamont, Utah. He's an all-star basketball player! Superquick on his toes and super swagy! I had a very spiritual experience when we were on exchange. We went to a Book of Mormon study class and while there we are talking about General Conference and when I was speaking of the things I learned I felt true confirmation from the Spirit of the things I talked about. I love God. God is good all the time. We went down to Charlotte had interviews with President it was wonderful but it was great to see the progress that I have had during my mission. President Alexandria is so wonderful you truly shares his love with all of us through his experiences and his love for Christ. He has invited me to pray and study the doctrine of Christ to have it embedded in my heart. He also asked me to truly be converted by Christ.
We met this less active James. This guy was straight crazy! He told us that the American people have alliances with over seven different aliens and that some of them live among us. He told us that he found this out through a friend that told him about it in a hotel. He also talked about the government not letting us do certain things but we don't really know. I felt super bad but I know that James will find truth after this life. Elder Hatch and I tried to keep it together we were laughing pretty hard after...I kind of feel bad for him.
We met this guy Ed. He used to be a member well I guess he still is but his testimony is gone. He talked about science and how it makes more sense but it's black after this life complete darkness no continue on. I thought that was very sad and I wish he could find out about the plan of salvation actually have the doctrine of Christ embedded in his heart. I know that God works through the Holy Ghost and by having experiences My testimonies grows. I may not know all things matter-of-factly... I don't know but a little; however; I've had experiences that help me understand that God is there. God blesses me and he wants me to be with Him again. Thank you all so much for your inspiring letters in boxes! I am eternally grateful for the love I received from each one of you. I think and pray for you all each day. I can't wait for the day that we will all be reunited again at the glorious second coming of our savior! Love y'all so much. Keep on kicking Sent from my Liahona
Jesus is your heart surgeon
OMG Emoji faces this week have been so fun! Have so many great stories to tell you all!
We had mission conference this week! It was focused on family history and the importance of using it as a finding tool! It was neat! Our presidents son works for the family history in Salt Lake so he came out and have some good ideas! We loved it! I also have been looking through some family history stuff and finding some fun events!
We had a fun finding this week! We went into a gas station to fuel up aka soda! We started talking to the cashier his name is Bobby and he loves learning. We were able to clear up some misconceptions of what he has learned about the church in the past. We have met with him a few times and hopefully he will progress!
I love this ward. We have a lot of fun people in the District. I'll tell you their names explain their humor and attitudes: Sister Grace. She is from Lehi, Utah. She's crazy and is gymnastic girl. Sister Sandy is from Pocatello, Idaho. She is very calm and doesn't talk a lot but she's great to listen to. Elder Skinner is from Wyoming and he is just the best super funny guy. He loves working. Elder Christiansen is from Provo, Utah and is super great and loves his family and basketball. This makes up our District with me and Elder Hatch as the authorized representatives of Concorde district we throw down.
I like to share my thoughts and opinions on this wonderful General Conference that we've been able to listen to and partake of this week. I had a few questions coming into the General Conference most of them were answered several times in different ways. I truly felt the love that President Monson has for me. I'm grateful for his excitement and I know that he'll be sanctified as he magnifies his calling. One of my favorite speakers is President Eyring. He has such a tender heart. I would like to note that I didn't fall asleep once! Pretty happy about that!
I am so grateful for all the love I get from all of you! I know God and His Son, Jesus Christ, heal hearts. I know that as we focus and put Jesus in the center of our lives, we will be blessed and have the atonement to heal our hearts! I love God and I love his servants!
Look for ways to improve from this experience... take it to the sacrament next week! I know we can be forgiven! Satan wants us to think we can't be. I love you all and know God does too. One day we were having weekly planning and..... So we made a video!
Baptism
Hello my people! I love God!! And he loves me!
This week has been great #likealways!
Powerful contact! We were contacting the other day and decided to knock upon a door we felt prompted to do so... As the door opened the woman told us she is studying with the Jehovah Witnesses and so we knew we were sent and started to share a powerful first lesson as she understood what the message was about. She wanted to study, then comes out her friend from the back room..... "Hi my name is Alma" she quietly said... We looked at each other and decided we needed both! I promise God is helping all of us bring this people to the truth!
We got the chance to go to a funeral for a recent convert in the ward! It was very sad but exciting cause the opening prayer was by a guy who didn't go to our church and when he said the prayer he was yelling in the mic and I was taken back but I knew that's how some people communicate with God. I just know my ways in Sacrament service.
Yesterday was one of the most powerful fast n testimony meetings I have ever been to! Almost everyone was in tears. A story that was shared: there was a family that had a daughter that was about to die she had cancer stage 4 and her parents asked her what she wanted before she died... (They are all members of the church just super less active) she told them she wanted to be sealed in the temple! It was gonna be hard cause she couldn't really walk around so they all got prepared and went to the temple. She had to ride in ambulance and then they said we will just put the white cloths over top of her body cause she had so many cords and stuff all over her but she insisted on getting into the white cloths so they helped her get into those cloths. As they sat around the alter to be sealed they decided she better not get down on her knees like normal, but she insisted on her kneeling next to the alter! She had to have two people on both sides of her holding her up. As I listened to this story, I feel like I understand how important family's are and being sealed. I miss my family so much I miss my friends so much I can't wait to be back home. Not being able to be with my family in Heaven would be hell! I know God has a plan and in that plan we are meant to be with our family's! I love each and everyone of you so much. I am eternally grateful for the amount of love you showed me! Thanks for being good to me! Love Elder Nelson
